Role summary
The CIO will define and steer the group-wide investment strategy at HoldCo level, focusing on strategic asset allocation, capital efficiency, and balance sheet optimization, rather than day to day portfolio management.
The role ensures alignment between investment strategy, capital structure, and group-wide financial objectives, while maintaining regulatory compliance (e.g. Solvency II) and protecting shareholder value.

Key responsibilities
- Set investment strategy at Group level, including strategic asset allocation and capital deployment across entities
- Define the ALM framework and investment guidelines, overseeing consistency across subsidiaries rather than executing directly
- Optimize capital, solvency and liquidity at consolidated level, balancing risk, return and regulatory constraints
- Provide strategic direction to local CIOs / investment teams, ensuring alignment with Group risk appetite
- Advise executive management and Board on macro trends, portfolio positioning and capital allocation decisions
- Oversee governance, policies and controls in investment and ALM activities across the group
- Drive strategic initiatives (e.g. diversification, alternatives, sustainability integration)
Profile
- Extensive experience in insurance investments + strong exposure to group/holding environments
- Deep expertise in ALM, capital management, solvency and regulation
- Proven strategic thinking and Board-level influence capability
- Ability to coordinate multiple entities and stakeholders in complex structures
- Strong leadership with indirect influence (not just direct management)
