We are hiring an experienced Events Manager to run the live delivery of the Hospitality Social Media Summit, a premium two-day executive programme for leaders in luxury and lifestyle hospitality.
This is a hands-on operations role. You will own the run of show minute by minute, manage the contractors and suppliers who make the programme run. Preparation is largely remote, with full on-site presence required in London for setup and both programme days.
Further editions and other similar premium hospitality events are planned. If you deliver a flawless first programme, there is clear potential to continue.
What you'll do
- Own the run of show for both days, planned to the minute, and hold every session, break and transition to time.
- Manage the contractors and suppliers who deliver the programme: AV and technical crew, venue staff, photographers and on-the-day support.
- Lead technical checks and rehearsals: microphones, screens, slides, recording, streaming and room setups, tested and signed off before doors open.
- Coordinate a multi-room, multi-session day so delegates and faculty always know where to be and when.
- Manage the speakers and faculty end to end: preparation and briefings, slide and technical run-throughs, timings, green-room and on-stage logistics, and looking after them across both days.
- Build and maintain the full delivery plan ahead of the programme: schedules, floor plans, supplier briefs, checklists and contingency plans.
- Act as the calm point of control on site, solving problems in real time so the founder is free to host.
- Manage load-in, setup, changeovers and load-out.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience running live events end to end, ideally conferences, summits, or premium corporate and hospitality events.
- Confident managing contractors and suppliers, holding them to brief, timings and budget.
- Confident managing speakers and senior faculty: preparing and briefing them, running through their sessions, and keeping them relaxed and on time.
- Strong command of event technical delivery: AV, staging, screens, microphones, recording and streaming, and how to run checks and troubleshoot under pressure.
- Excellent run-of-show and time management. You plan minute by minute and prepare for what could go wrong.
- Calm, organised and decisive on site, comfortable coordinating several rooms and many moving parts at once.
- Polished spoken and written English, with the presence to work alongside senior faculty and delegates.
- Meticulous in preparation: clear plans, checklists and supplier documentation.
Nice to have
- Experience with parallel-track or multi-room programmes.
- Delivery experience in premium or luxury hospitality settings.
- Familiarity with hybrid and streamed events.
- Availability to travel for future editions and other events.
Engagement
- Contractor role. Preparation largely remote, with on-site presence required in London for setup and both programme days.
- UK-friendly working hours during the preparation period.
- Potential to continue with future editions and other similar events.
- Fee to be confirmed, based on scope and experience.
