About LPS/LPBS
LPS is a production system written by Lear as a global solution to manufacturing execution. It is a flexible system, designed to meet the demands of any build process and layout. LPBS is an internally developed Manufacturing Execution System, End‑of‑line system designed to monitor packing accuracy, identify defective parts, and track hourly production performance against scheduled targets. The system integrates seamlessly with the ERP environment, enabling automatic backflush of consumed materials and real‑time receipt of work orders directly from the ERP.
Role Overview
As an LPS/LPBS Deployment Specialist, you support the implementation, rollout, and continuous improvement of the LPS/LPBS application across EMEA plants. You work closely with Plant IT, Engineering, end users, and central IT teams to ensure successful deployments and stable system operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support LPS/LPBS deployments and upgrade
- Provide project planning, reporting and deployment of future LPS/LPBS implementations assigned to you throughout defined region across assigned plants.
- Coordinate with Plant IT and Engineering to gather requirements and translate them into system solutions.
- Assist with installation planning, testing, and validation activities.
- Provide second-level support for LPS/LPBS-related system issues.
- Support user training and onboarding activities.
- Maintain system documentation and deployment standards.
- Collaborate with LPS/LPBS development and IT teams to improve system processes and functionality.
- Perform technical analysis of identified problems through to resolution working closely with the Plant.
- Work closely with users and other project team members.
- Interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the Plant organisation, senior internal and external personnel.
Required Skills
- Strong technical background
- Knowledge of production processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of PLC functionality and capabilities.
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders.
- To be able to formulate logical statements of system computing problems and devising solutions
- Basic experience with technical training and technical presentations
- Basic project management experience
- Good level of English, written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% across EMEA.
Preferred
- Experience with manufacturing or MES-related systems.
- Knowledge of Windows Server environments.
- Experience with SQL Server procedures, views, or SSIS.
- Knowledge of SQL / T-SQL and basic data analysis.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects.
- Knowledge of project management & systems development best practice
- Experience with RSLinx/Kepware and OPC
