Aurora's Software Solutions team is building the global investment analytics platform for the energy transition. Widely adopted by leading energy companies and investors, the platform changes the way that energy market analytics is performed and delivered. To best enable the user experience, both through product development and analysis delivery, Aurora is developing a global Client Solutions team that provides the critical end-to-end interface between the underlying model development and the end user.
We are seeking an energetic Power Markets Analyst to join the team in Rome, to support our cutting-edge software suite in Italy and Southern Europe. This role is critical in the expansion of Aurora's software offering, and sits cross-functionally between the Advisory, Product, Research, and Commercial teams at Aurora, demanding power markets expertise and proficiency in using Aurora's software products.
The successful candidate will combine astute analytical ability with excellent communication skills and a passion for working with clients. They will be confident in topics concerning power markets and the energy transition, and eager to work in a creative, intellectually stimulating, and supportive environment where they will play a driving role in one of Aurora's key strategic priorities.

Empower leading developers, utilities, and funds across the power sector to deploy capital to the Energy Transition, by integrating Aurora's software into their strategic investment decisions
- Host specialized onboarding trainings to guide customers to use the software in order to build and interpret their energy market views
- Perform feature-bridging analyses for client projects, enabling access to pre-release features and other internal functionality
- Support clients to leverage insights from Aurora’s software during transactions
- Help answer client questions across a broad range of topics, ensuring they are able to unlock value from the software, and working with other internal teams where escalations are required
- Shape product roadmaps by providing key customer insights
- Leverage insights from customer usage data in order to perform strategic retention activities
Required attributes:
- At least 1-2 years of professional experience in an analytical and knowledge-driven role
- Strong analytical capabilities in engineering, business, economics, or similar
- Strong communication skills and confidence in client-facing situations
- A high degree of persistence in reaching goals and a hands-on approach to ensuring targets are achieved
- Strong team player with a track record of success in team environments
- Business fluency (C1 level) in Italian and English
Desirable attributes:
- Italian (or other Southern European) power market analytics experience, preferably with experience of power market models
- Professional exposure to energy and power markets
- Experience in client-facing roles, preferably in a B2B setting
- Additional European language proficiency (Portuguese, Spanish, French)
