The Sales Executive will be responsible for developing and managing the commercial activity of MACS Shipping Line in Spain and Portugal, focusing on project cargoes and conventional cargo services connecting the Iberian Peninsula with Africa (Angola, Namibia, South Africa, and Mozambique). The position can be based in Bilbao, Madrid or Barcelona.
Key Responsibilities:

Customer Development & Market Coverage: Identify, target, and develop local customers in line with MACS commercial priorities and growth plans. Manage customer coverage across Spain and Portugal, ensuring effective market penetration for project and conventional cargoes.
- Sales & Commercial Management: Manage RFQs, prepare and negotiate quotations, and develop commercial offers within approved pricing and contractual guidelines. Support chartering-related discussions in coordination with the liner and internal commercial teams.
- Opportunity & Pipeline Management: Own the local sales pipeline, ensuring opportunity tracking, timely follow-up, and effective conversion of prospects into confirmed business. Drive customer retention and long-term relationship development.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, service continuity, and long-term business retention.
- Market Intelligence & Reporting: Provide accurate and timely market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive insights to MACS Line Management and relevant internal stakeholders.
- Internal Commercial Coordination: Coordinate with internal sales, operations, and chartering teams to ensure feasibility, alignment, and effective execution of commercial commitments.
- Sales Strategy Execution: Define customer coverage, sales priorities, and commercial focus areas within approved MACS commercial strategies and guidelines.
- Commercial Decision Making: Take ownership of day-to-day commercial decision-making within delegated authority, escalating pricing or contractual exceptions when required.
- Business Growth & Trade Development: Contribute to the development and growth of MACS services in the region by identifying new business opportunities, trade developments, and strategic customer initiatives.
- Process & Governance Improvement: Support continuous improvement of sales processes, reporting quality, and commercial governance at local level.
