Amazon is going through an exciting period of growth, and we are seeking a Buyer who is fluent in French to join our Global Procurement Central Services (GPCS EMEA) team based in Barcelona. As a Buyer, you will work in a cross-functional team environment with internal Amazon teams and external vendors to administer and source non-inventory goods and services for our Fulfilment Centre (FC), Amazon Transport Services (ATS) and Quick Commerce (QC) networks. These may include shipping and packaging supplies, warehouse/office supplies, safety equipment and repair and maintenance services.
You will provide functional support to all FCs/ATS/QC sites within your assigned cluster for all aspects of procurement. This includes securing the constant flow of packaging goods and services, supplied at the best overall value to the business on a day-to-day basis, while managing operational and administrative tasks such as purchasing order execution, delivery tracking, invoice management, and supplier master data maintenance.
Key job responsibilities
The extent of your responsibilities will include but is not limited to:
Plan non-inventory material orders for assigned sites based on demand and forecast
Plan truck deliveries and create purchase orders for assigned sites
Plan and communicate delivery time slots with suppliers
Communicate accurate delivery schedules to local FC Stores teams
Liaise with suppliers to secure on-time deliveries for all non-inventory items
Act as escalation point for internal and external stakeholders to ensure deliveries are offloaded per agreed timelines
Process and resolve all SIM tickets for non-inventory queries
Work with Operations and Stores to define strategies to mitigate space constraints
Develop relationships with internal customers (on-site management) and external suppliers
Interact daily with FC Stores Coordinators to understand the flow and stock positions of non-inventory materials
Proactively flag delivery issues with the Procurement Manager and EU Procurement Team
Process invoice queries and drive down Invoices on Hold (IOH), ensuring a robust procure-to-pay process
Support change initiatives and continuous improvement projects for non-inventory supply chain efficiency
Provide support and training to other cluster buyers as required
Deliver Procurement metrics in line with targets, including cost savings, zero stock-out, Days of Cover (DOC) and project objectives
Administrate the end-to-end Purchase Order process (daily requisitions for compliance and PO creation)
Work in full compliance with the company Spending and Transaction Policy
A day in the life
This position is office-based at BCN10 in Barcelona. As a Buyer, you will be expected to meet service level agreements (SLAs) for standard tasks (e.g., PR/PO processing, SIM ticket resolution, Days of cover (DOC)) and other assigned role targets and objectives. You will serve as the point of contact with outside vendors and internal FC stakeholders, ensuring seamless procurement operations across your assigned sites. You will work as part of a dynamic team within the BCN10 Corporate office.

- Knowledge in MS Office – in particular MS Excel
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP, ORACLE, Coupa) in large organizations
- Advanced proficiency in English (B2/C1 Common European Framework of Reference, CEFR).
- Advanced proficiency in French (B2/C1 Common European Framework of Reference, CEFR).
