- Position BASED in Barcelona
As a Planning & Pricing Trainee you will support the Planning & Pricing team in the preparation, analysis, and follow-up of budgets, pricing proposals, and operational planning activities related to clinical research projects. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop analytical, financial, and cross-functional coordination skills in a dynamic oncology clinical research environment.
The role offers hands-on exposure to end-to-end pricing strategy in international clinical trials, working closely with cross-functional teams such as Clinical Operations, Business Development and Finance.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
- Support the preparation of budgets and pricing proposals for clinical research projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the information included.
- Assist in collecting and organizing financial, operational, and study-specific data required for planning and pricing activities.
- Help maintain pricing files, templates, and databases, ensuring information is updated and properly documented.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather inputs for proposals, timelines, assumptions, and project scope definition.
- Support the review of cost structures, resource assumptions, and pricing calculations to contribute to pricing consistency and benchmarking across projects.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and spreadsheets to support decision-making and internal tracking of pricing and planning activities.
- Participate in internal meetings and follow up on assigned actions related to planning, budgeting, and proposal development.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, standardization, and data quality.
- Keep up to date with internal procedures, templates, and relevant business requirements affecting planning and pricing workflows.
- Protect information from unauthorised use or access and notify the Information Security Officer and the Management System Officer in the event of such unauthorised access or use.
- Abide by the internal regulations, raise concerns and breaches related to compliance obligations, and collaborate with Ethics & Compliance as required.
- Participate in scheduled company trainings.
WHAT DO WE VALUE FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY?
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Strong interest in pricing, budgeting, financial analysis, and project planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, and knowledge of Power Query / Power BI is a plus.
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with numerical data in a structured and accurate manner.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, organized, detail oriented and ability to work with deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
