Job Description
We are looking for outstanding people to join our team, and we are currently seeking to incorporate an Industrial Digitalization Specialist into our Spanish team.
The purpose of this role is to design, implement, and maintain solutions for data acquisitions, processing, and visualization in industrial environments using IoT technologies, integrations platforms (Node-Red), data visualization dashboards (Grafana), and script programming. The goal is to optimize processes, improve decision-making, and support the digital transformation of our clients.
To improve our services and support our continuous growth, we are looking for talented and motivated individuals to join technical consulting office. A Sofware Development plays a key role in helping organizations improve their performance through digitalization services.
Qualifications
The main functions and responsibilities:

Develop and implement Node-RED flows for integrating sensors, IoT devices, and industrial systems.

Configure and manage Grafana dashboards for real-time data visualization.

Design and maintain scripts (Python, Bash, or others) for process automation and data handling.

Connect, integrate, and manage IoT devices for data acquisition on the plant floor.
-
Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of industrial data.

Collaborate with other international AFRY teams to identify needs and propose digitalization solutions.

Document processes, architectures, and developed solutions.
Qualifications
Below we explain the main skills that we look for in our Industrial Digitalization Specialist in the Industry division. You do not need to tick all the boxes, we are looking for great people with a diverse background to strengthen our engineering team:

Degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, Automation, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.

2+ years of experience in industrial digitalization, IoT, or process automation projects.

Hands-on experience in integrating sensors, PLCs, gateways, or data platforms.

Advanced proficiency in Node-RED.
-
Experience configuring and using Grafana.
-
Scripting skills (Python, Bash, JavaScript).

Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (MQTT, OPC-UA, Modbus, etc.).

Understanding of IoT principles, edge computing, and real-time data acquisition.

Experience working with databases (SQL/NoSQL).
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Teamwork and results-oriented mindset.
-
Curiosity for technology and a commitment to continuous learning.
Fluency in Spanish and English. You will work in international environments and collaborate daily with global teams, requiring effective communication in both languages.
