Description
Xe is a cross-border payments platform. We help SMEs and consumers in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand collect, convert, hold, and send money across markets. Each year, over 300 million people use Xe for currency information and over 350,000 use us to send money overseas.
Today, we're rebuilding the platform layer behind cross-border payments for corporate and consumer clients. We're small enough that your code ships fast and your decisions matter, and Euronet Worldwide (Nasdaq: EEFT) backs us so the problems stay real-scale.
We're hiring a mid-level QA engineer who likes owning quality end-to-end, from test design and automation infrastructure through to release gating and production observability. You already use AI as part of how you think, build, test, and ship.
You'll catch problems before code that moves money hits production, build the test automation other engineers depend on, and help ship new capability with confidence as Xe rebuilds its platform layer. You'll work in a small team with direct access to engineering, product, and compliance, own the quality signals for your domain, and partner with senior QA engineers when bigger quality questions come up.
-
Build integration test harnesses and contract tests for the flows that move money, across a range of domains and the partner APIs behind them.
-
Design and build the test automation that gates code into production, across onboarding, KYC and KYB, payment initiation, FX, settlement, and other supporting flows.
-
Write test cases and run manual tests where they are the right tool, and build automation in Playwright and equivalent frameworks.
-
Investigate production incidents and translate findings back into automated tests and process improvements.
-
Own the CI/CD quality gates for your area (release-blocking signals, flaky-test triage, test infrastructure health), and partner with engineering, product, and compliance from problem framing through launch.
-
Use agentic coding tools and AI test tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent; test generation, eval frameworks, or equivalent) daily, and help build the test estate for new capability on the modern stack alongside senior QA engineers in your domain.
Must-have
-
3 to 6 years building production test automation, end-to-end.
-
Strong test automation skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or C#, including pragmatic design of test frameworks and patterns.
-
SQL and relational database fundamentals (for test data, validation, and debugging).
-
API testing (Postman, Bruno, or equivalent) and UI automation (Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent).
-
Functional and non-functional testing principles (performance, reliability, and security concepts) and disciplined defect management, including reproduction, prioritization, and tracking.
-
Comfortable generating test cases and running manual tests where they are the right tool, alongside building automated coverage.
-
Daily use of agentic coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent) and AI test tools (test generation, eval frameworks, or equivalent) across the SDLC.
-
Production experience with AWS in a development or test context, and CI/CD pipeline ownership (GitHub Actions or equivalent), including building release gates.
-
Strong written and verbal communication.
Nice-to-have
-
Experience in payments, FX, or cross-border money movement.
-
Experience with contract testing for partner integrations (Pact or equivalent).

Experience testing Windows client applications.
