Data Migration Analyst
Your Impact as Data Migration Analyst: What are you going to do
Responsible for supporting the end-to-end process of transferring data from legacy to new environments
Create a data mapping, ensuring accuracy, quality, and alignment with business requirements.
Develop and execute test plans to validate the accuracy and completeness of migrated data
Identify and resolve data issues and discrepancies during the migration process, working with other teams.
Monitor the migration process for performance and efficiency, making adjustments to optimize the data transfer.
Key responsibilities include:
In-depth understanding of insurance industry concepts, products, policy administration processes, claims, investments and accounting.
Perform ETL process to extract data from source systems, transform it according to migration requirements, and load it into the target system.
Develop and implement data cleansing, normalization, and transformation rules to ensure data consistency and quality.
Conduct data quality checks, validation, and error handling to maintain data accuracy before, during, and after migration.
Work with IT teams, database administrator, and business units to understand data requirements and migration objectives.
Achieve a seamless migration that minimizes disruption and maximizes data usability in the new system.
Monitor data performance and provide ongoing support to address any post-migration issues.
Document each phase of the migration process, including data mappings, transformations, and quality checks.
Produce and enforce development standards and technical standards.

Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant field.
2+ years of experience in data migration, ETL process, or a related data management role.
Knowledge of data validation, quality assurance practices and data transformation techniques
Strong technical proficiency to comprehend current system architecture, data structures, and integration points.
Skilled in meticulous data analysis and migration, ensuring data integrity during transition.
Experience developing and leading technology engagement.
Advanced knowledge of SQL.
An excellent understanding of best practices across technologies (client/server-side, QA, security by design, etc.).
Familiarity with cloud environments can be differential.
Excellent time management, problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules
