Your Role
The FP&A for Portugal & Growth Projects acts as the Finance Business Partner for the Portuguese market, supporting both commercial channels and contributing to profitable growth through high‑quality financial analysis and performance management.
The role combines market FP&A responsibilities for Portugal with active participation in transversal Growth and Commercial Excellence projects. It is designed for a profile with previous experience in Commercial Controlling who is evolving towards a broader FP&A and a business partnering role.
What You Will Do
Strategic Business Partnering

Act as a trusted financial advisor to the Portuguese team, with a strong top‑line focus, providing insights that shape strategy and deliver business objectives.

Deeply understand market drivers (category dynamics, price/mix, customer/channel economics, promotional mechanics) and translate them into executable, ROI‑positive plans.

Monitor promotional activities and trade spend, assessing performance and ROI.
-
Ensure data accuracy and consistency in financial reporting for the Portuguese market.

Prepare monthly reporting and ad‑hoc analyses for local and regional stakeholders.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Own the annual budget, long‑range plan, and rolling forecast cadence—including scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.

Build and maintain robust models for demand, price/mix, promo ROI, customer profitability, and category/channel outlooks.

Deliver clear variance analysis versus budget/forecast, highlighting drivers, risks, and actionable opportunities.

Prepare high‑quality management reports, dashboards, and leadership presentations with crisp insights and recommended actions.
Financial Control & Compliance

Ensure integrity of financial data and adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and local regulatory requirements.

Partner with accounting on month‑end close, accruals, provisions, and audit support.

Drive continuous improvement in controls, data quality, and governance across trade spend and investment processes.
Growth & Commercial Excellence Projects
-
Contribute to transversal Growth and Commercial Excellence projects at regional level.

Support analyses related to price & mix optimisation, promotional effectiveness and customer/channel profitability.

Support Global Media Team to control A&P investments and ensure the correct P&L impact.

Collaborate with global marketing and innovation team for new launches business cases.
What We Are Looking For

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

Experience: 4+ years as a commercial controller for large – medium companies, FMCG experience valued.

Technical: Advanced financial modelling, scenario analysis, and KPI design; Excel and BI tools; ERP (SAP/Oracle).

Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and communication; able to influence stakeholders and challenge constructively.

Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English. Portuguese valued.
