Job Description:
RESPONSABILITIES:
- Lead the collection and documentation of business requirements for SAP Finance and Controlling, including processes such
as general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, cost accounting, profitability analysis (COPA), and consolidation.
Conduct interviews, workshops, and business process analyses with finance stakeholders to understand requirements and
identify improvement opportunities aligned with industry best practices.
Analyze and document SAP Finance and Controlling workflows, covering areas like Record-to-Report, period closing, cost
center and profit center accounting, and financial consolidation.
- Facilitate the design and implementation of SAP FICO functionalities, including Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center.
Accounting, Controlling Area configuration, and Profitability Analysis (COPA).
- Drive the Key User program for Finance and Controlling streams, providing mentoring, coaching, and system expertise to Key
Users across clusters and regions to ensure consistent best practice adoption.
- Serve as a sounding board for continuous improvement, managing change requests and master data initiatives while supporting incident identification and ensuring high-quality resolution.
Facilitate communication and collaboration among project teams, business stakeholders, Key Users, and technical support to
deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions.
- Participate in project planning, budget estimation, and cost-benefit analysis for FICO system initiatives.
Actively engage in the global Key User network and community, leveraging available tools and forums to share knowledge and
drive organizational excellence.
Financial & People Accountability
- Financial: Assess the financial impact of proposed improvements, provide input for cost-benefit analyses, and support
budgeting processes related to financial applications.
- People: Mentor and coach Key Users, support finance communities, enable user adoption, bridge business needs and SAP
solutions, and promote the Key User role throughout the organization.
Competencies
- Business Acumen: Demonstrate a deep understanding of financial accounting principles, Record-to-Report processes, cost
management, and compliance requirements.
Possess advanced proficiency in SAP FICO configuration, including FI (General Ledger, AP/AR, Asset
Accounting) and CO (Cost Centers, Profit Centers, COPA).
- Project Leadership: Lead complex financial transformation projects, business process reengineering, and requirements management.
Effectively develop and support Key User Community, foster knowledge sharing, and enable capability building.
Engage stakeholders effectively, facilitate workshops, support community building, and provide mentoring.
Manage financial solutions across multiple regions and understand diverse compliance frameworks.
IT Skills & Technical Knowledge:
Primary SAP Applications
- SAP S/4HANA Finance with comprehensive expertise in FICO modules
- Financial Accounting (FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, FI-AA)
- Controlling (Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Internal Orders, COPA)
- SAP Group Reporting and Financial Consolidation
- SAP Treasury Management and Cash & Liquidity Management.
General Skills:
- Advanced data analysis, requirements management, and process modeling
- Strong proficiency in Excel and SQL
- Expertise in financial reporting and BI tools
- Knowledge of system integration and data conversion methodologies
- Experience with collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Viva Engage for community enablement
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Information Technology.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in SAP Finance and Controlling implementations and support.
- Proven record of leading at least three full lifecycle SAP FICO implementations
- Extensive experience with financial accounting processes and cost management
- Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance architecture
- Experience with financial close, month-end and year-end activities, and consolidation workflows
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder environments, lead transformation initiatives, and build high-performing teams
- Experience mentoring and developing finance professionals and technical teams
- English: Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Additional Languages: Spanish, French, Dutch skills are highly valued
