We are currently looking to hire a Tunnelling & Geotechnical Modelling Engineer with interest in numerical models to join our ambitious and experienced team. We are working on stages as early as feasibility studies up to detailed designs on a wide range of projects. Our clients are from the private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Our office has an established track record of successfully delivering designs for many years, throughout the USA and Australia not to mention Canada or Middle East. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation, Water and Mining Projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team for the EC Europe (Poland/Spain).
The responsibilities of this role include:

Deliver numerical modelling analyses for ground engineering and tunnelling projects, primarily using FLAC3D and other specialised tools.

Contribute to projects across different phases: concept, feasibility, detailed design and construction support.

Work closely with multidisciplinary and international teams, collaborating with colleagues across Spain, Poland, South Africa and beyond.

Play an active role in digitalisation initiatives, including developing and implementing new modelling tools and workflows.

Take ownership of defined project packages or smaller projects, ensuring high-quality technical delivery.

Prepare clear, concise and technically robust engineering deliverables, reviewed by senior engineers.

Perform quality checks on your own work and support peer reviews.

Mentor and support junior engineers, helping to build team capability.

Qualifications
-
Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
-
Minimum of 4 years of experience in ground engineering and/or tunnelling.

Fluent in English language.

Hands-on experience with numerical modelling tools (FLAC3D preferred).

Strong understanding of soil/rock mechanics and geotechnical design principles.

Skills on computer programming (Python, Fish, MATLAB, etc..) will be a plus.

Interest in innovation and digital engineering.

Ability to work independently while collaborating in international teams.
