Asset Control is seeking for a Data solutions developer to assist with continued implementation of new applications that can help us optimize the use of our assets (reduce losses, undercover patterns and anticipate to issues). The Data solutions developer will work on automation and adjust solutions to regional requirements in partnership with different functions across Brambles.
She/he will be working with previously developed ML models to create a final application that meet CHEP regional needs coupled with any data analysis required to support implementations or changes.
Key Responsibilities May Include:
- Design and build reusable components, frameworks, and libraries at scale to support analytics products and enhance data processing efficiency and scalability
- Develop, construct, and maintain highly scalable data pipelines and processing systems, integrating programming languages and tools to meet evolving business needs.
- Implement complex automated workflows and routines using workflow scheduling tools, ensuring efficient data ingestion and consumption.
- Optimize data quality, reliability, and scalability through continuous integration, test-driven development, and use of advanced data engineering practices
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to design and implement data product features, identifying opportunities for improvement in data accessibility and integration
- Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex data challenges, providing scalable solutions that address operational and product needs.
- Lead disaster recovery planning and ensure all data models and architectures are designed to meet business requirements while reducing system complexity and costs.
- Mentor and guide data engineers in adopting and maintaining data engineering standards and best practices to foster a strong, expert data solutions community.
Other key responsibilities:
- Responsible for implementing solutions developed by the Advance Analytics team by developing, designing, and testing a final solution aimed to optimize the use of our assets.
- Perform data analysis (What-If, Scenario and sensibility analysis) to support any new implementation required.
- Assess implementation effectiveness by conducting tests and simulations on large sets of historical data
- Communicate with project SMEs the implementation process, design and data analysis findings
- Develop software solutions using Python that fit regional business needs aligned with Assent control Transformation program.
- Work closely with all internal SMEs to understand requirements.
- Ensure best practices implementation to improve service to the business.
- Propose enhancements on new/current processes (standardization, usability, workload).
- Identifying potential risks and issues and ensure these are pro-actively flagged and resolved throughout program lifespan.
- Communicating and documenting code changes following Asset Productivity and Control Intelligence guidelines (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, etc).
Experience required:
- 5+ years professional experience in developing Python applications that implement machine learning models.
- Expert knowledge of multiple programming languages including Python on UNIX and/or LINUX platforms.
- Strong experience working with cloud platform providers like Amazon Web Services.
- Solid understanding of Version Control principles (Git).
- Proved and successful track record in implementing python solutions (Data pipelines, Software applications, etc).
- SQL experience (Ability to read/write complex SQL queries).
- Ability to perform high data analysis to inform business decisions.
- Good stakeholder management experience. Comfortable presenting to senior leadership and C-suite.
- Working on remote teams.
- Experience with Project Management (manage priorities, standardization, automation, troubleshooting and long-term planning).
- Experience implementing new data solutions from scratch.
- Experience with change management.
- Proficient using Microsoft tools: Excel and Power Point.
- Experience using Atlassian suite is highly valued.
- Experience with React and FastAPi is valued.
- Experience with tools interacting with LLMs is valued.
