Working in our Chief Operating Office (COO)
Our COO Teams are the engine that powers Open Cosmos’ operations. This division brings together mission management, supply chain, and quality & product assurance to make sure every mission is delivered smoothly, reliably, and to the highest standards. They turn plans into action, keeping us efficient and mission-ready at all times.
Working in the QPA Team
At Open Cosmos, our Quality and Product Assurance (QPA) team is central to ensuring that everything we deliver meets the highest standards of performance, reliability, and safety. The team is dedicated to embedding quality into every stage of our work — from design and development through to production, testing, and launch — ensuring that our satellites and systems are ready to perform their mission with confidence.
What will you be doing?
As a Quality & Product Assurance Manager, you’ll lead our quality function across all programmes, ensuring Open Cosmos remains compliant, consistent, and continuously improving as we scale globally.
You’ll:
Oversee quality assurance across full project lifecycles — from design to launch
Lead non-conformance management, NRB activities, and corrective actions to maintain flight readiness
Conduct supplier audits and qualification, ensuring consistent quality and compliance throughout the supply chain
Support and lead internal and customer audits, readiness reviews, and certification processes
Drive measurable improvement initiatives using clear KPIs, root cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration
What You’ll bring
You’ll bring a mix of structure, pragmatism, and a hands-on approach — ensuring our systems and satellites are built to the highest standards.
You’ll have:
Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO9001, ECSS, AS9100 or equivalent)
Understanding of non-conformance handling, NRB, CAPA, and configuration management
The ability to ensure quality within complex, high-precision manufacturing or space systems
The ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders — from engineers to auditors to customers
Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, comfortable balancing detail with big-picture delivery
An engineering background (aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or systems) and a passion for space technology
