The Position
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Tester with experience in Customer Identity& Access Management (CIAM) to support the quality assurance and continuous improvement of customer identity services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for validating secure, scalable, and seamless CIAM solutions across customer registration, authentication, consent, profile management, integrations, and access journeys. This role combines technical testing, defect analysis, stakeholder collaboration, compliance awareness, and delivery support within a complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning and Execution
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, and test data.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing for CIAM services and connected applications.
- Validate customer journeys such as registration, login, password reset, profile updates, consent capture, MFA, and account recovery.
- Support release readiness through structured planning, execution, and reporting of test activities.
Technical and Integration Testing
- Validate APIs, webhooks, SSO flows, federation integrations, and downstream system interactions.
- Test identity protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML.
- Verify data flows, profile synchronization, consent records, and access behavior across integrated systems.
- Support testing of CIAM platform changes in SAP Customer Data Cloud (SAP CDC) and connected enterprise environments.
- Support non-functional testing activities such as reliability, resilience, and performance coordination where required.
Defect Management and Quality Assurance
- Identify, document, reproduce, and track defects with clear evidence and technical detail.
- Work closely with engineers, analysts, and product teams to prioritize and resolve issues efficiently.
- Perform retesting and regression validation following defect remediation.
- Promote quality standards, traceability, and risk-based testing practices.
Governance, Compliance, and Service Processes
- Support testing activities aligned with GxP expectations, Computer System Validation (CSV) frameworks, and internal quality standards where applicable.
- Contribute to audit evidence, validation documentation, and control traceability.
- Work within IT service management processes including incident, problem, change, and release management.
- Support operational workflows and testing coordination through ServiceNow.
Collaboration and Delivery Support
- Work closely with developers, architects, business analysts, product owners, and support teams.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies, planning sessions, refinement meetings, and release activities.
- Communicate testing progress, quality risks, blockers, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Support production validation activities after deployments where required.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, test data management, and testing efficiency.
- Contribute to automation initiatives and reusable testing assets.
- Stay informed on CIAM trends, identity standards, and evolving customer expectations.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience is also valued.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Technical Tester, QA Engineer, Test Analyst, or similar role.
- Experience testing web applications, APIs, and integrated enterprise systems.
- Experience in Customer Identity& Access Management (CIAM), Identity& Access Management, or digital customer platforms.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Customer Data Cloud (SAP CDC) or similar CIAM platforms is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in enterprise environments using ServiceNow processes and tooling is an advantage.
- Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, life sciences, finance, or similar sectors is highly valued.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, defect lifecycle, and quality assurance practices.
- Good understanding of CIAM concepts such as registration, authentication, SSO, MFA, consent, profile lifecycle, and access control.
- Familiarity with identity standards such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or equivalent.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar test management and collaboration tools.
- Understanding of validation documentation and testing controls within CSV environments is an advantage.
- Familiarity with ITIL-based service management processes is an advantage.
- Exposure to test automation frameworks and scripting languages is an advantage.

- Relevant certifications in ITIL or quality/testing disciplines are an advantage.
