What are we looking for?
We are looking for a
Senior IT Service Owner – Java & PL/SQL Applications with a strong background in the
banking industry. This role requires a highly autonomous professional who can take ownership, proactively solve complex challenges, and operate independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience working within financial institutions, understands banking compliance and operational processes, and can confidently manage critical integrations and application ecosystems.
You will join a strategic project with a global client in the wealth management sector, taking on a combined role as IT Service Owner and senior technical contributor, ensuring the end-to-end operation, evolution, and reliability of the IT service.
- Proven experience with Java or .NET environments, including Spring Boot.
- Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL (DB19 preferred).
- Hands-on experience with system integrations, interface management, and scripting.
- Solid background in Kafka and/or IBM MQ (mandatory).
- Deep understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
- Experience across the application lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of deployment and orchestration tools, particularly Octopus Deploy (Jenkins is a plus).
- Experience working with GitHub and/or GitLab.
- Knowledge of SWIFT messaging.
- Understanding of investment products and financial instruments.
- Experience within financial markets or capital markets environments.
Location: Hybrid. Madrid city center (Sol area). 3 days a week in the office.
