Details of the role and how it fits into the team
Join Deutsche Bank’s in-house Spain payroll team in Barcelona and support the monthly payroll execution in ADP GlobalView. You will contribute to data accuracy, strong controls, and continuous improvement of payroll processes and employee experience.
You will be part of a specialist in-house payroll team responsible for delivering Spain payroll using the ADP GlobalView platform. The role sits at the intersection of payroll operations and HR, working closely with employees, HR partners, and external providers. You will contribute both to day-to-day payroll execution and to ongoing process and system improvements within an evolving and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute the monthly Spain payroll in ADP GlobalView, ensuring accurate calculations and timely delivery.
- Manage employee lifecycle inputs (hires, terminations, absences, sick leave, overtime), validating completeness and data quality.
- Apply established payroll controls to ensure compliance, accuracy, and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with HR teams and external providers on benefits-related inputs and employee queries.
- Contribute to process improvements and support payroll and HR systems initiatives (e.g. Workday).
Skills
- Solid understanding of Spanish payroll processes (1-3 years of experience) including basic labour, tax, and social security requirements.
- Ability to manage payroll data accurately and work with payroll systems such as ADP GlobalView or similar platforms.
- Strong Excel skills to analyse payroll data, perform reconciliations, and support reporting.
- High attention to detail, organisation, and ability to prioritise tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Clear communication skills in Spanish and English, with a collaborative mindset and interest in process improvement.
