About the role
Four Seasons Hotel Madrid is seeking a passionate Director of Engineering to join the team. The Director of Engineering oversees a team of Engineering and Maintenance specialists responsible for all engineering operations for interior/exterior facilities including plumbing, refrigeration, heating/cooling, painting, carpentry, structural, recycling and electrica l areas. The Director is also responsible for Life/Fire safety systems, energy/green initiative systems and management of other engineering work necessary to maintain the property in an efficient condition to ensure the safety and comfort of guests and employees.
What you will do
1. Leadership and Management
Lead, unite and develop a multidisciplinary techncal team (maintenance technicians, gardeners, pool technicians, external contractors).
Serve as the technical authority in key disciplines: HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems (high and low voltage), fire safety systems, pool hydraulics.

What you bring
Applicants are required to have five years previous management experience in hotel or building engineering maintenance . Managing a complex with multiple business units (hotel, residential , club, and commercial space ) is preferred.
Qualifications are required either a Professional degree in an Engineering discipline, trade degree in a specific technical field relating to Engineering ( Mechanical / Electrical /Civil Engineering ) or CEOE – Certified Engineering Operations Executive from the Hotel and motel Hospitality Association , Building Owners Management Institution (BOMI) designation , Real Property Administrator (RPA), Facility Management Administrator (FMA) or Systems Maintenance Administrator (SMA)
