Job Description
We are seeking an innovative and detail‑oriented R&D Specification & Software Engineer to join our air‑to‑water heat pump development design team in Vacarisses, Spain. As a key member of our research and development department, you will play a crucial role in defining product requirements, developing embedded software functionalities, and ensuring seamless integration within our Heating product range.
The role will involve activities within the scope of R&D, including:

Definition, specification, and documentation of system requirements for new products and functionalities.

Development, implementation, and validation of embedded software and control algorithms for heat pump systems.

Follow‑up, validation, and technical approval of prototypes and their software behaviour in various laboratory environments, in collaboration with our R&D Centre in Aveiro (Portugal).
The main areas of responsibility will include:

Drafting and maintaining product specifications, functional requirements, user scenarios, and system behaviour documentation.

Development and debugging of embedded software for microcontrollers, control boards, and communication interfaces.

Design and validation of software logic concerning system operation, safety functions, communication protocols, and performance strategies.

Collaboration with electronics, electrical, and control engineering teams to ensure correct implementation of hardware–software interactions.

Contribution to product performance targets through software tuning, algorithm optimization, and functional improvements.

Support for the development and verification of communication protocols (CAN, Modbus, UART, proprietary protocols).

The candidate must be able to take ownership of responsibilities, demonstrate sound judgement and initiative across the different work areas, and be capable of assessing both the feasibility of software implementations and the outcomes of validation tests for final approval.

Bachelor’s degree in Software or Electronic Engineering.
