AI Engineer
Data Science & Advanced Analytics
Working across a wide range of data and AI initiatives, you will help design, build, and maintain ML and data science applications. As an intermediate engineer, you will collaborate closely with data scientists, product teams, and subject‑matter experts to develop practical, scalable solutions that support AIML‑driven products.
You will contribute throughout the product development lifecycle—helping transform prototypes into reliable services, implementing software that exposes data science models to business users, and supporting continuous improvement across the engineering workflow.
Your typical activities will include:
- Deliver engineering features that are robust, maintainable, and aligned with team standards
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for on‑premises and cloud deployments
- Collaborate with data scientists to productionize models and improve code quality
- Contribute to product quality through testing, monitoring, and iterative improvements
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Support documentation efforts for services, workflows, and model integrations
- Apply SDLC practices consistently in daily work
- Share knowledge across teams and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture
Qualifications
- Relevant software engineering experience in collaborative, team‑based environments
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals
- Proficiency in backend Python development
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems
- Familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph
- Experience deploying models to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Knowledge of container orchestration such as Kubernetes
- Experience with relational databases
- Exposure to workflow tools like Airflow
- Solid grasp of software engineering principles, version control, and testing
- Experience with CI/CD and deploying code to production
- Ability to build RESTful APIs
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Understanding of Agile practices and experience working in Agile teams

Data Science & Advanced Analytics – with departments in Frankfurt, Philadelphia, Milan, Madrid, Athens, Warsaw and Beijing as well as a network of more than 300 experts worldwide - is the global competence center for statistics and data science at IQVIA. Data Science & Advanced Analytics is responsible for developments of the statistical procedures and methods used for quality assurance processes, data imputations, data projections, forecasting and many other for healthcare panel data including pharmacy sales, ecommerce data, hospital consumption, physician level prescriptions and longitudinal anonymized patient level data.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is €47,300.00 - €70,900.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
