Scope of work & responsibilities
As part of Airbus GeoTech supporting security and defence vector mapping solutions, you will perform activities such as:
Quality Control Responsibilities
Semantic data validation and schema compliance. Metadata, attributes, dictionary alignment, etc.
Quality Assessment of geometries. Positional accuracy, topology rules, completeness
Multi-Source Imagery & Elevation Cross-Verification. VHR Satellite images and DEMs
Reporting and feedback loops with internal teams and customers, including registering non-conformities, prepare clear comments, attach evidences and follow corrections until final acceptance.
Deliverables preparation including QC validation logs and Data Quality Reports
Tools & Technical Scope
Geographical Information Systems environments: ArcGIS Pro and QGIS
Specific Quality Assessment tools: Airbus Internal developed tools, GAIT and Python/SQL checks to support repeatable and strong Quality Control workflows.
Geospatial working formats: File or Enterprise Geodatabases, Shapefiles, CAD files
About you

Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geomatics, GIS, Geography, Remote Sensing, Cartography, Topography, Geoinformatics, or a related field.
Experience: 0–3 years in GIS, mapping production, remote sensing or geospatial Quality Control. Defence mapping, topographic databases or satellite-image interpretation are strong pluses.
Technical skills: ArcGIS Pro/Desktop and QGIS; topology, editing, geoprocessing, symbology and layout review; coordinate systems, scale and positional accuracy; geodatabase schemas, feature coding and attribute validation; VHR image interpretation; basic Python, ArcPy/PyQGIS or SQL mindset.
Valuable knowledge: MGCP, VMAP, MUVD, TDS, DGI, STANAG-like rules, ISO 19157 metadata, OSM/open data, DEM/DTM and LiDAR concepts.
Non-technical Skills
Languages: French fluent or very fluent is mandatory (B2/C1 minimum; C1 preferred). English professional level. Spanish/Catalan are a plus.
