The role will also provide flexible cross-border legal support for priority business initiatives and capacity gaps, including strategic growth areas such as data centres, energy, new products and services, and core operational matters. Based in Barcelona, Madrid or Amsterdam under a hybrid work model, this role works within the European Legal Department and will involve close collaboration with a team of more than 27 lawyers and paralegals across Europe, as well as U.S. legal and business counterparts where relevant. The role is expected to operate comfortably in a matrix environment and to partner closely with legal colleagues, business teams, technology and operations stakeholders.

-
Support higher-priority commercial contracting and business initiatives, with a focus on structuring, simplification, risk allocation, standardisation and scalable ways of working.
-
Simplify and rationalise contract suites, templates, amendments, order forms and related documents, identifying dependencies and opportunities for automation or business self-service.
-
Develop business-facing training, playbooks and guidance that enable teams to handle appropriate routine matters themselves while escalating higher-risk issues to Legal.
-
Support implementation and continuous improvement of legal technology, knowledge management, metrics and reporting processes that help the department understand workload, bottlenecks and efficiency.
-
Provide practical legal support on corporate, real estate, GDPR, privacy and compliance matters, depending on experience and business priority.
-
Coordinate with U.S.-based legal or business counterparts on cross-border matters when relevant.
