Location: Madrid, Spain | Reports to: Sales Director | Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite) | Visa Requirements: Valid working visa for Spain | Language Requirements: Fluent Spanish and English
As an Account Manager – Public Sector at SoftwareOne you will identify new business opportunities, drive customer success, and deliver tailored technology solutions aligned with client needs.
By combining strong sales execution with public sector expertise, you will help grow SoftwareOne’s business and position the company as a trusted advisor, while collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and partners to deliver infrastructure and data center modernization projects with long‑term value.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and develop a portfolio of public sector clients, ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and business growth

Identify new business opportunities and lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure

Understand client needs and propose tailored technology and digital transformation solutions

Promote projects and services related to IT infrastructure, storage, virtualization, hyperconvergence, and data center modernization

Leverage knowledge of the Spanish public sector and procurement processes to position SoftwareOne as a trusted advisor

Maintain accurate sales forecasts and customer records using CRM tools
What we need to see from you:
- Proven experience in account management and business development within the IT sector, particularly in technology infrastructure environments

Strong knowledge of infrastructure solutions, including storage, virtualization, hyperconvergence, servers, and data center technologies

Experience selling complex IT projects and services to public sector organizations and government entities
-
Solid understanding of the Spanish public sector and public procurement processes, including tenders and framework agreements
-
Ability to manage long sales cycles and coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders
-
Excellent communication, negotiation, and long-term relationship-building skills with a strong results orientation
-
Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft 365, and passion for technology and digital transformation
