The Advanced Field Service Engineer is responsible for ensuring high customer satisfaction and long-term performance of assigned instruments. The role delivers high-quality on-site service in complex customer environments, supports business growth, and drives continuous improvement while operating in full compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
This position reports to the Regional Customer Service Supervisor and is part of the Customer Service / Field Service team, Life Science business unit located in Spain - Valencia and will be working remotely to cover a national territory.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Deliver corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities, including complex installations and qualifications, in line with quality and compliance standards.

Act as a technical reference for complex troubleshooting on-site and remotely in collaboration with Technical Support teams.

Manage critical customers and key accounts while ensuring optimal performance and availability of customer equipment.

Contribute to system upgrades, updates, solution integration projects, and customer training during installations.

Accurately report service activities, manage tools and spare parts inventory, and support complaint handling and hotline activities when required.

Identify service and commercial opportunities, mentor junior peers, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using DBS / Lean principles.
The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor’s degree (Associate / Bachelor – Bac+2/3) in laboratory automation, biology, biomedical engineering, or physical measurements.

Proven technical expertise in biomedical or pharmaceutical research environments.

Good command of English at a professional level.
-
Ability to work autonomously across a national territory.
This role requires strong technical autonomy in customer-facing laboratory environments and national field coverage.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

Ability to travel within a national territory as required by customer service activities.

Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Ability to work on customer sites and perform field service interventions in laboratory environments.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Experience with mentoring junior or peer Field Service Engineers.
