Assent Advisory Group is seeking an Ordnance Logistics and Technical Support Specialist to support anticipated U.S. Navy logistics and technical support services at Naval Station Rota, Spain. This position will provide specialized technical, logistical, administrative, inventory, and quality assurance support for Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA&E) and Combat Weapons Systems (CWS) in support of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit Eight and its Detachment Europe.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Navy or military ordnance logistics, AA&E accountability, CWS readiness, Ordnance Information System (OIS), Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS), Navy 3M, SKED, inventory management, maintenance tracking, compliance reviews, and technical reporting. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can support high-risk logistics operations, maintain accurate records, coordinate issue and receipt actions, monitor readiness, and ensure work is performed in accordance with applicable Navy, DoD, safety, security, and host-nation requirements.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide logistics, technical, administrative, and quality assurance support for AA&E and Combat Weapons Systems.
- Support full lifecycle management, accountability, readiness tracking, and maintenance oversight of assigned ordnance and weapons systems.
- Execute inventory, receipt, issue, and administrative duties for AA&E using the Ordnance Information System and applicable Navy guidance.
- Monitor CWS and AA&E inventory readiness in OIS and support commodity administration functions in ELMS.
- Conduct monthly and annual inventories of AA&E and serialized equipage, and prepare inventory status reports as required.
- Report inventory discrepancies, readiness concerns, and compliance issues through the appropriate chain of communication.
- Coordinate with applicable Navy organizations for issue, receipt, tracking, and documentation of CWS and AA&E.
- Administer the SKED database for CWS as the Armory 3M Work Center Administrator.
- Provide administrative verification of completed scheduled and corrective maintenance actions to ensure compliance with 3M standards.
- Conduct and document recurring 3M spot checks to ensure adherence to Maintenance Requirement Cards, safety protocols, and work center requirements.
- Assist with maintenance tracking, scheduling, work center compliance reviews, and verification of completed maintenance actions.
- Maintain a current digital library of required references, instructions, policies, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and submit recurring status reports, inventory reports, spot check reports, and other deliverables as required.
- Support quality control activities and corrective action responses when discrepancies are identified.
- Maintain professional communication with Government stakeholders, the COR, readiness personnel, 3M coordinators, and logistics support organizations.
Experience:
- Extensive experience in a military ordnance-related field.
- Experience with AA&E hazard classes, condition codes, Navy Ammunition Reclassification reports, Ammunition Information Notices, and Navy Ammunition Logistics Codes.
- Experience managing the full lifecycle of AA&E and Combat Weapons Systems assets.
- Hands-on experience with the Ordnance Information System.
- Hands-on experience with the Enterprise Logistics Management System.
- Hands-on experience with the Navy Maintenance and Material Management program and SKED.
- Experience with maintenance scheduling, maintenance tracking, work center compliance reviews, and verification of completed scheduled and corrective maintenance actions.
- Experience conducting inventories, documenting issue and receipt actions, researching discrepancies, and preparing technical reports.
- Experience working in a Navy, DoD, expeditionary, EOD, ordnance, armory, weapons, logistics, or maintenance environment.
- Ability to work independently in an overseas operational environment.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, communication skills, and commitment to safety and accountability.
- Experience as a military paygrade E-7 or higher is preferred.
- Navy Expeditionary ordnance management experience preferred.
- Navy Expeditionary Combat Command Armorer qualification preferred.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Technical Management, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant military training, Navy ordnance training, logistics training, maintenance management training, or armorer training may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Active Secret security clearance required.
- Ordnance Information System – Retail course completion required.
- ELMS Commodity Manager course completion required.
- Current American Heart Association First Aid/CPR/AED certification required.
- Lautenberg Act training/certification required.
- NOSSA account eligibility required upon contract award.
- NECC Armorer qualification preferred.
- Additional Navy 3M, SKED, ordnance, armory, logistics, or maintenance certifications preferred.
